Food Lover’s Guide to Taste of Miami
Foodies throughout Coral Gables, Gladeview, and Miami can indulge in some of the finest cuisine as they welcome back Taste of Miami. Slated to take place on Thursday, February 18 at Marlins Park, this culinary extravaganza will showcase locally renowned restaurants and their famous dishes for a real taste of the area’s best cuisines.

What’s Cooking at the 2016 Taste of Miami?
The Second Annual Taste of Miami food festival is set to take place on February 18 at 7 pm at Marlins Park in Miami. During this event, the area’s best restaurants will come together to provide delicious bites and mini plates from their menus. Below are just a few you can expect at this year’s event:
You’ll also find local craft beer breweries and wineries such as Concrete Beach Brewery for great drink parings.
But on top of the food and drinks, this year’s event will feature a live cooking competition that pits Miami chefs against Florida Marlins players.
Two of the area’s prominent public figures will host this year’s Taste of Miami: Chef Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrienne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar and Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins.
Chef Adrianne Calvo
Chef Adrianne Calvo is world-renowned chef, author, and television personality who has been serving delicious cuisine to the South Florida area for more than 10 years and dedicated herself to giving back to the community.
In addition to Calvo’s culinary conquests, she has started the Make It CountFoundation to help children and their families suffering from cancer live normal and healthier lives.
As a host of Taste of Miami for 2016, Calvo will combine her love of all things culinary and philanthropy to help support local restaurants and charitable organizations throughout the area.
As one of the most decorated pitchers in major league baseball, Jose Fernandez has accomplished a great deal at a young age. In fact, his impressive pitching record landed him the 2013 National League Rookie of the Year award.
Like Calvo, Fernandez is committed to giving back to the South Florida community as a host of the 2016 Taste of Miami.
These are three ticket options for Taste of Miami. General admission tickets cost $99 and provide unlimited craft beer and wine and gourmet bites. General admission with early access costs $125 and allows you to enter the event one hour early to enjoy unlimited drink and food samples.
VIP tickets cost $149 and come with all of the perks of the early access tickets as well as additional benefits, including the following:
- A complimentary VIP gift bag
- Access to the Clevelander VIP Lounge and its open bar
- A meet and greet with celebrity chefs and current and former Marlins players
Proceeds for this event will benefit charitable organizations such as the Hispanic Food and Beverage Foundation, the Miami Culinary Institute’s Joanna Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the Marlins Foundation.
