Live music. Visual arts. Mouthwatering food. What more could you want in a festival?
Well, Florida’s Coconut Grove Arts Festival® has all of this and more. We’ve written this handy guide just to show you what to expect when you visit.
Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!
Visit Coconut Grove Arts Festival®
This year on President’s Day weekend (February 17th, 18th, and 19th), Bayshore Drive will host one of the most jam-packed festivals in all of Miami: The Coconut Grove Arts Festival® (CGAF).
Held annually, this three-day outdoor event celebrates all the fine art and local flavors that make Miami what it is. It’s a chance for emerging artists to place their best works on a pedestal, and for restauranteurs to whip up their most delectable meals.
In the end, you—the attendee—get to reap the rewards. Mingle with creators, take in some live music, and try a new bite.
With so much to do, you can easily spend an entire weekend here…
Experience New Artists
CGAF is a pretty big party. It takes up close to one mile of Biscayne Bay’s waterfront streets and features as many as 360 artists.
There are 15 different visual categories featured at CGAF, including:
- 2D & 3D Mixed Media
- Printmaking & Drawing
While some artists may be more established, others haven’t yet found a platform for their work. If you visit, be sure to scope them out and pay them the attention and appreciation that they deserve. Who knows—they could be the next big thing!
Enjoy Food & Live Music
A festival isn’t really a festival without food, which is why CGAF features 50 different restaurants and vendors, some of whom are even putting on cooking demonstrations and gourmet tastings.
As you enjoy your eats, stroll over to Peacock Park to enjoy all the live music throughout the weekend. As long as the gates are open for the day, the music is pumping!
It’s Festival Time Again
From the incredible art to the flavors and sounds, Coconut Grove Arts Festival® has a little something for everybody. So, don’t hesitate to bring the entire family on down.
RSVP to the festival on Facebook to learn more about artist and vendor developments!
