While food is, pragmatically speaking, something we need just to stay alive, it has the potential to be so much more than that. An art form, if it’s done right. The Coral Gables Food Wine and Spirits Festival celebrates the artistry behind fine eats and craft drinks. Come on down this year to indulge in the very best entrees the city has to offer.
Visit on November 3rd
The festival is set to be held on November 3rd at the Coral Gables Museum. The day will be split into two different 4-hour tasting sessions—one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Attendees will have the choice of either an all-inclusive or beverage-only pass. So, if your main interest lies in the wines from local vineyards or beers from craft brewers, this may be the most economical choice. There will be an after party running from 10pm to 2am at Mara Basque Cuisine & Lounge. Your ticket will include one free drink, plus hours and hours of live music and fun.
What Eats Are on the Menu?
Fifteen different restaurants have already signed up to participate in the Food, Wine, & Spirits Festival, their styles ranging the world over. Here are just a few of our favorites:
- Amour de Miami is a French eatery serving traditional dishes such as the Homemade Duck Foie Gras and Croque Monsieur.
- Jaguar is a Latin-style restaurant blending South American flare with North American pizazz. Favorites include the Mahi-Mahi “A Lo Macho,” which features shrimp and calamari; aji Amarillo sauce with saffron, brandy, and Pernod; and white rice.
- Catered Fit brings a vegan option to the festival. This nutrition service is bringing some of their pre-made meal options to show you how delicious diets can be.
