About Florida Foster Care Review

Founded in 1989, Florida Foster Care Review continues to honor their mission to “engage community volunteers to advance the safety, stability, and success of children in foster care by connecting them to essential services, supportive relationships, and permanent families.”

While the impact of the foster care system can be felt across the nation, it’s particularly apparent here in Florida. About 28% of Florida’s aged-out youth experience homelessness. Furthermore, only 1.8% of adults formerly in foster care earn a college degree.

The Florida Foster Care Review aims to reduce these numbers, one child at a time.

Permanency Roundtable Program

One of the main aspects of Florida Foster Care Review is its Permanency Roundtable Program.

The Permanency Roundtable Program works alongside other organizations to achieve permanency for youth in foster care. Their goal is to replace the inevitability of “aging out” and supplying permanent families for youth prior to turning 18.

It is vital for the success of these children to find forever homes, so they are armed with the right foundations and skills to face adulthood.
