Honda Ridgeline Trim Levels

Honda Ridgeline

With tough performance, convenient technologies, and a slew of comfortable amenities, there’s a lot to love about the 2018 Honda Ridgeline. But which of its trims has everything you need for the road ahead?

Braman Honda Miami is here to help you find out. With our in-depth comparison below, you’ll have the information needed to determine which 2018 Honda Ridgeline trim is right for you.

Honda Ridgeline RT

2018 Honda Ridgeline Trim LevelsThe first trim in the 2018 Ridgeline family is the RT. It’s powered by a 3.5L V6 engine and gets 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine includes direct-injection technology and Variable Cylinder Management™ to enhance overall fuel economy. Best of all, this engine is strong enough to tow between 3,500 and 5,000 pounds.

The base trim of the Ridgeline comes standard with a two-wheel drive system. However, if you’re looking for more performance capability (say maximum towing?), the Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ (i-VTM4™) All-Wheel Drive System is also available.

The 2018 Honda Ridgeline RT is equipped with a number of features and amenities, as well. Some of these are a dual-action tailgate, a cargo bed light, and a receiver tow hitch. It also has a lockable in-bed trunk, as well as push-button start for convenience.

Other features for the Honda Ridgeline RT are:

  • Bluetooth® services
  • A 5-inch color LCD screen
  • A seven-speaker audio system with subwoofer
  • A multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines

Honda Ridgeline Sport

The 2018 Honda Ridgeline Sport adds a few luxury amenities, such as remote engine start and tri-zone automatic climate control. The Ridgeline Sport also comes with the HomeLink® Universal Remote System that you can program to open your garage or control your home alarm system from your vehicle.

While the engine of the Ridgeline Sport is identical to the RT, it also now adds in the AWD system standard.

Honda Ridgeline RTL

2018 Honda Ridgeline

The next step up is the 2018 Honda Ridgeline RTL. This comes with leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated exterior side mirrors. This trim also has a ten-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and four-way adjustable front passenger seats.

Performance remains the same as the base trim.

Honda Ridgeline RTL-T

The 2018 Honda Ridgeline RTL-T is almost identical to the Ridgeline RTL with the exception of a few additional features. The Ridgeline RTL-T comes with LED daytime running headlights and the Honda LaneWatch™ system.

Entertainment is where it starts to diverge. This trim features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well. It includes Pandora® Internet Radio capabilities, the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™, and smartphone integration systems like Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™.

Honda Ridgeline RTL-E

The 2018 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E is powered by the same engine as the other trims listed above. However, it adds in many new features and amenities.

In the RTL-E, you’ll find power sliding rear windows, a heated steering wheel, and driver seat memory. The Ridgeline RTL-E also comes equipped with the Truck-Bed Audio System.

2019 Honda Ridgeline InteriorThe Honda Sensing™ suite of driver assist technologies is also included for this trim. This provides the following safety features:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Road Departure Mitigation System
  • Lane Keeping Assist System
  • Collision Mitigation Braking System™

Honda Ridgeline Black Edition

The 2018 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition has the same powertrain and performance features as the Ridgeline RTL-E. It also comes with the same list of technologies and features.

The biggest difference between the two is that the Ridgeline Black Edition offers exclusive design aspects. It’s only available in a Crystal Black Pearl exterior color with painted-black wheels, and exterior accents. It’s also equipped with exclusive black leather seats with red stitching and red perforation designs. On top of that, this trim has red interior ambient lighting.
