The Lotus House is an organization devoted to improving the lives of women, youth, and children who are struggling with homelessness.

The Start

Lotus House is operated by the Sundari Foundation, a non-denominational, non-profit organization focused on helping people who are experiencing homelessness. The Sundari Foundation was founded in 2004 with the goal to open a facility to help women who are homeless. This facility became the Lotus House Women’s Shelter, which officially opened its

Over a decade later, the Lotus House helps shelter over 500 women, youth, and children daily and over 1,200 women, youth, and children yearly. The Lotus House takes a trauma-informed, holistic approach to provide shelter and services to those who are struggling in a variety of areas stemming from homelessness.

Lotus House Women’s Shelter identifies affordable housing and supportive shelter as a basic human right that is essential to the well-being and overall health of individuals and the surrounding community.
