As a matter of fact, parts of the original Snapper Creek still run through the east end of the property.

In addition to unique areas such as the one-acre cypress slough and a 3.3-acre tropical hardwood hammock, you can spot colorful wildlife throughout the property. All fish, turtles, crabs, birds, and other animals are well-cared for and safe within Pinecrest’s borderlines.

Wildlife Takes Center Stage

More than a botanical garden, Pinecrest is a cultural arts park, where visitors can view fine art by local creators and take in concerts, dance performances, theatre, and much more. Among these shows, you’ll find performances by the Alhambra Orchestra, the Miami Acting Company, and other well-respected troupes from the area.

Weekly Farmers Market

Inside Pinecrest Gardens If you’re interested in partaking in the fruits of our natural flora and fauna, you’re in luck. Every Sunday, no matter the time of year, Pinecrest Gardens hosts a Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In a single visit, you can take care of the bulk of your grocery shopping for the week. Organic produce, baked goods, local honey, and so much more are available. Remember, eating local with Pinecrest is eating healthy!
