Miami’s South Beach Seafood Week Will Have You Hooked in 2018
Along the waterfront here in South Beach, there is a slew of extravagant restaurants aiming to take your seafood experience to a whole new level. South Beach Seafood Week is, essentially, a tantalizing window into the very best this area has to offer. Across four days, you’ll have the opportunity to sample sumptuous plates and equally tasty drink pairings. In the end, you’ll surely be hooked.
Tuesday: An Evening at Joe’s
Night one of South Beach Seafood Week kicks off at Joe’s Stone Crab on Tuesday, October 16th. With your ticket, you’ll have access to a 3-hour dinner including five courses, wine pairings from J Vineyards, and an intimate table in the famous Jessie’s Room (a favorite of Frank Sinatra).
Wednesday: Cooking & Cocktails
This event will see the executive chef of Goya Foods and the executive chef of Meat Market teaming up for a one-of-a-kind small-plate experience.
Each of the six unique tapas prepared for the evening will be paired with a top-shelf cocktail by a Herradura. Throughout the night, your palate will be popping.
Thursday: Crabs, Slabs, and Cabs
Shelbourne South Beach hosts Thursday’s festivities, the Crabs, Slabs, and Cabs evening. Along with all other guests, you can gather on the VIP pool deck garden for a one-night-only surf ‘n turf meal.
The evening is completed by an exciting dessert showcase with a selection of the finest pastries in the area.
Friday: Chef Showdown
Throughout SoBe Seafood week, you’ll taste the foods of the top executive chefs in the area. However, Friday night’s Chef Showdown will pit them against each other in a competitive cook-off. The best part is that you’ll get to be the judge!
Saturday: South Beach Seafood Festival
The Seafood Festival, hosted at Lummus Park on the sand, is truly the main event of the entire week. On the beachfront you’ll have tent after tent of incredible food and drinks, as well as live music to keep the energy up. It’s by far one of the biggest and tastiest bashes of the fall.
