Tamiami International Orchid Festival

You may or may not know that there are thousands of different species of orchids in the world—and the Tamiami International Orchid Festival has many of them under one roof from January 17th-19th. This nationally and internationally recognized event has become the largest orchid show in the U.S., and it’s definitely something you won’t want to miss.

A Variety of Vendors

Orchid Festival VendorsThe Tamiami International Orchid Festival hosts a large variety of vendors to bring you orchids from all over the globe. Bela Vista Orchids specializes in Brazilian species, while Ching Hua Orchids hails from Taiwan. Ecuagenera and Ecuaflor-A bring you orchids from Ecuador, while Hamlyn Orchids offers orchids from Jamaica.

Of course, there are plenty of vendors from right here in the U.S. Krull Smith is local in Apopka, FL, along with Mac’s Orchids from Ft. Lauderdale, and Odom’s Orchids from Fort Pierce. Orchid Eros takes a longer trip from Hawaii, while Orchid Inn travels down from Illinois.

With vendors representing all types of orchids—from around the world as well as in your backyard—you’ll be extremely impressed by what this unique festival has to offer. However, you won’t just be “window shopping”—you’ll have the option to get an orchid education, too!

Festival Classes

Orchid Festival FlowersThe Tamiami International Orchid Festival offers several different classes that you can take part in with a variety of topics that will appeal to any orchid owner. Classes are offered at different times throughout each day, so you can plan your visit around those classes that you’d like to attend.

Some class topics include: The Million Orchid Project; Repotting Your Orchids; Orchid Diseases: Prevention and Control; Growing Catasetums; Orchid Insects and Pests and their Control; and many more! Whether you’re a novice orchid owner or a veteran in orchid care, you’ll find a class that’s right for you.

Raffles and Awards

Orchid FestivalThe fun doesn’t stop at browsing and taking classes on orchids—you can also participate in a free raffle to win over 50 beautiful orchids!
