2017 Honda Ridgeline vs. Chevy Colorado
With great power and towing capabilities, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and Chevrolet Colorado are here to make things easier and help you get the job done. But how do they compare against each other?
To find out, check out this 2017 Honda Ridgeline vs. Chevy Colorado comparison provided by Braman Honda in Miami.
Standard Performance and Towing
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline offers great power and towing capabilities to get to where you need to go in Miami, Hialeah, and Doral with ease. It’s powered by a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
The Ridgeline also comes with available all-wheel drive for off-roading and getting through tough road conditions. Plus the Ridgeline excels in towing. When equipped with an available integrated tow hitch, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Overall performance for the Chevy Colorado is quite impressive. However, when it comes to standard performance, the Colorado misses the mark. With its standard 2.5-liter I-4 engine, it only gets 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, this engine is only capable of providing 3,500 pounds of maximum towing capacity.
In addition to impressive towing and power, the 2017 Ridgeline includes a variety of amenities to make your workday easier. For example, its truck bed is designed for efficiency. It’s 64 inches long and 50 inches wide at the wheel wheels.
On top of that, the Ridgeline comes with an In-Bed Trunk®. This extra storage area has 7.3 cubic feet of space for all of the tools you need. Best of all, it’s lockable so you can trust that it’ll keep your valuables safe.
The Chevrolet Colorado offers an efficient truck bed as well. However, it’s about 6 inches thinner than the Ridgeline, so you won’t have as much room to fit your cargo. Plus the Colorado doesn’t come with an in-bed trunk for extra space and storage.
Entertainment and Convenience
Of course, these trucks aren’t all about getting the job done. With a number of great technologies, they can also help you to enjoy the road ahead. Both trucks are equipped with advanced infotainment systems. These come with a wide variety of entertainment features as well as a navigation system to make each drive fun and easy.
However, the entertainment features aren’t just found in the cabin. With the Ridgeline, you’ll also get some great entertainment outside thanks to its Truck Bed Audio System. This uses six exciters located within the walls of the bed instead of speakers to play your favorite songs. You can select what you want to hear using the infotainment system in the cabin or on a connected mobile device.
Unfortunately, the Chevy Colorado doesn’t provide as much fun and exciting entertainment features. While it does include an advanced infotainment system, it doesn’t offer a Truck Bed Audio System.
