Vehicle Comparisons:
2017 Honda Ridgeline vs. Nissan Frontier

2017hondaridgelinedirtThe 2017 Honda Ridgeline may be giving drivers in Hialeah, Doral, and Miami more power and performance, but how does it compare to popular trucks like the Nissan Frontier?

To help you see how the 2017 Honda Ridgeline stacks up against the Nissan Frontier, Braman Honda in Miami has compared to two trucks below.

Engine Power and Performance

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s capable of producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This truck also comes equipped with the advanced Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ All-Wheel Drive system. When traveling, this performance feature can activate one of four driver-selectable modes to ensure great performance in normal conditions and when going through mud, snow, or sand.

The Nissan Frontier comes with two engine options. However, neither of them provides as much power as the single engine in the Ridgeline. The standard 2.5-liter I-4 engine in the Frontier can only produce 152 horsepower. The available 4.0-liter V6 only delivers 261 horsepower. On top of that, the Nissan Frontier doesn’t come with an advanced all-wheel drive system that caters to specific terrain.

Towing Capabilities and Features

In terms of towing capabilities, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the Nissan Frontier are similar. With their standard performance equipment, both trucks can tow up to 3,500 pounds. With additional performance features, they can tow about 5,000 pounds.

While their towing capacities are similar, these trucks offer different cargo and towing features. For example, the Honda Ridgeline has an available In-Bed Trunk® for extra cargo space. It’s 7.3 cubic feet and lockable, making it the perfect place to store your valuables when you’re on the job or traveling with the family.

The Nissan Frontier, unfortunately, doesn’t have an In-Bed Trunk® for additional storage.

Entertainment and Convenience

2017-honda-ridgeline-technologyOn top of work-ready features and an impressive performance, these trucks also offer technologies and features designed to ensure your entertainment and convenience.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the Nissan Frontier are both home to an advanced infotainment system that includes navigation, mobile app access, and much more to keep you entertained for the road ahead.

In addition, the Ridgeline offers the Trunk Bed Audio System. Perfect for tailgates or a casual outdoor get-together with friends, this feature works with the infotainment system to transform your trunk bed into an entertainment system on wheels.

While the Nissan Frontier does have great entertainment features, it doesn’t come with a Trunk Bed Audio System like the one in the Ridgeline.

Honda Ridgeline vs. Nissan Frontier Safety

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the Nissan Frontier are dependable trucks. Each one features a sturdy body designed to protect you and those on board from collisions. Plus they have safety features such as an advanced airbag system and performance stabilizing technologies.

For added peace of mind, the 2017 Ridgeline also offers Honda Sensing™. This package adds driver assist technologies like Adaptive Cruise Control and a Collision Mitigation Braking System™ to help to prevent an accident or decrease the impact of an imminent crash.

Unfortunately, the Nissan Frontier doesn’t come equipped with any advanced driver assist technologies for your peace of mind and protection.

Which Truck Is Best for You?

With great performance and capabilities, Nissan Frontier is a decent option for drivers in Hialeah, Doral, and Miami. However, the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline provides more than just a work-ready performance. It also gives you technologies for your entertainment, convenience, and safety.

So if you’re in the market for a new truck that’ll help you get your work done and enjoy a ride through town, check out the 2017 Honda Ridgeline at Braman Honda in Miami. Don’t wait – schedule a test drive today!
