2016 Honda Pilot Performance

Not much is currently known about this new model, but based on the information that has been released, you can expect to experience a performance that can take on everything the road throws at it.

The 2016 Pilot will come equipped with an i-VTEC V6 engine that delivers up to 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Two transmission options will be available: a six-speed automatic and a nine-speed automatic. These, while working together with the engine, will provide smooth shifting and acceleration.

Also included in the 2016 Pilot will be the Variable Cylinder Management and Eco Assist System for a boost in efficiency.

Interior Advancements

Technology in the anticipated 2016 Honda Pilot will provide both entertainment and safety. Inside, you’ll be able to enjoy features such as an audio system, SiriusXM radio, and HondaLink Next Generation to connect with the world around you.

For safety, the 2016 Pilot will feature the Honda Sensing system. It can be used as a hub for a number of driver assist and safety technologies to keep you protected and focused on the road. Some amenities you can activate include the following:

• Collision Mitigation Braking System
• Road Departure Mitigation System
• Forward Collision Warning
• Lane Departure Warning
• Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines

Exterior and Interior Design

With a new year comes a new look for the Honda Pilot. The 2016 model is set to venture away from its boxy frame and embrace a more rounded shape. Similar to that of the Honda CR-V, the new Pilot looks a bit more like a luxury crossover but still includes subtle hints of a tough and rugged design.

But the interior is where the real luxury and sophistication comes in. Matching perfectly with the outer design, the inside will include easy-to-control steering wheel functions and buttons, a large touchscreen monitor, and an information display in the dashboard. The gauges will be brightly lit, and you’ll be able to read them with just a quick glance.

In terms of overall measurements, the 2016 Pilot is roomy both in the passenger area and in the cargo bay. In the front seats, you’ll enjoy over 40 inches in legroom, while the middle seat passengers can stretch out with over 38 inches of legroom, and those sitting in the last row will have just about 32 inches in legroom. For the cargo area, you can use a maximum of 83.9 to 109 cubic feet of space, depending on the trim level you choose.

The 2016 Honda Pilot has yet to be released in showrooms, but many people have already stopped by our Miami Honda dealership to find out what to expect from this vehicle.
