Exterior and Interior Design
With a new year comes a new look for the Honda Pilot. The 2016 model is set to venture away from its boxy frame and embrace a more rounded shape. Similar to that of the Honda CR-V, the new Pilot looks a bit more like a luxury crossover but still includes subtle hints of a tough and rugged design.
But the interior is where the real luxury and sophistication comes in. Matching perfectly with the outer design, the inside will include easy-to-control steering wheel functions and buttons, a large touchscreen monitor, and an information display in the dashboard. The gauges will be brightly lit, and you’ll be able to read them with just a quick glance.
In terms of overall measurements, the 2016 Pilot is roomy both in the passenger area and in the cargo bay. In the front seats, you’ll enjoy over 40 inches in legroom, while the middle seat passengers can stretch out with over 38 inches of legroom, and those sitting in the last row will have just about 32 inches in legroom. For the cargo area, you can use a maximum of 83.9 to 109 cubic feet of space, depending on the trim level you choose.
