2017 Honda Accord Review
Following last year’s major redesign, the 2017 Honda Accord continues to deliver great style, exceptional performance, and cutting-edge technologies to drivers in Hialeah, Miami, and Doral. However, there are a couple of new amenities and upgrades available.
2017 Honda Accord Performance
The 2017 Honda Accord comes standard with a 2.4-liter I-4 engine. It’s capable of producing 185 horsepower but also includes a number of performance technologies to provide excellent fuel economy.
The 2017 Accord also features an available 3.5-liter V6 engine. Designed to deliver a strong performance, this engine gets up to 278 horsepower.
Both engines work with an advanced transmission system. The standard engine works with an available continuously variable transmission with Sport Mode. This is designed to ensure smoother, more responsive shifts and helps to boost overall efficiency.
The 3.5-liter V6 comes with a six-speed automatic transmission with Sport Mode. This transmission system is specially configured to help the vehicle produce a fun-to-drive performance and enhance responsiveness while traveling.
Interior Technologies and Safety
The technologies and safety features in the 2017 Honda Accord are largely carried over from last year’s model. For 2017, the Accord comes with the available HondaLink® infotainment system with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. This features a selection of entertainment amenities and integrates your smartphone with the infotainment software for access to calling capabilities and your favorite mobile apps.
The 2017 Honda Accord also returns with the Honda Sensing® suite of driver assist technologies. When equipped, Honda Sensing® adds the following safety technologies to your vehicle for peace of mind:
- Lane Keeping Assist System
- Road Departure Mitigation System
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Collision Mitigation Braking System
Created to promote safety for everyone on board, these technologies use intricate sensors to detect and warn you when you’re at risk of getting into a car accident. These can also help you to avoid collisions or reduce the impact of an imminent crash by applying the brakes if needed.
Two Additional 2017 Honda Accord Trims
Perhaps the most anticipated thing about the 2017 Honda Accord is the addition of a new trim and the return of an old favorite. For 2017, Honda has welcomed the Accord Sport Special Edition trim to the family. This is powered by the model’s standard engine and features most of the same amenities offered in the other trims available.
On top of that, the 2017 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition includes red accented seats, exclusive Special Edition badging, and an upgraded suspension system.
The Honda Accord Hybrid has returned for the 2017 lineup as well. The relaunched trim now comes with a more powerful and efficient powertrain, Honda Sensing®, a more advanced infotainment system, and much more.
